Chantel & Donnie are a super cute couple who met in a local kickball league. Fast forward three years and they are engaged, planning a wedding and getting situated in their new construction home, along with their two adorable golden doodles. In addition to kickball, this couple enjoys playing golf and watching football. With this in mind, Donnie decided to incorporate golf into the proposal and popped the question at the Four Seasons Golf Course in Orlando. Long story but he basically put the ring inside the hole for Chantel to find- super cute! He even had her family fly down from Minnesota!
Despite their differences in opinion on which NFL football teams to root for, Chantel and Donnie are tying the knot at Armature Works in Tampa (one of my favorite venues). They wanted their engagement session to have a similar vibe ( think exposed brick, wooden floors, etc). With it’s old school feel and brick throughout, I just knew Ybor City would be absolutely perfect!
So, instead of starting the session right in the center of Ybor City, I had Chantel & Donnie meet me in an area nearby where I knew we could get some really cool shots with an industrial, city vibe, just like their wedding venue. After we did some photos there, I had them follow me into the heart of Ybor City to complete the rest of the session. From the cobble stone streets, to the signature trolleys, we made sure to include it all. Their golden doodles even made it in for a few shots (with matching football jerseys; can you say precious!?).
If you know me, I always recommend a couple book an engagement session to get to know their photographer, get comfortable in front of the camera and have an excuse to get dressed up and celebrate being engaged. Chantel & Donnie’s fun loving nature combined with my down to earth, relaxed approach made for some wonderfully authentic images.
